Footsteps in Asia is a fully licensed, independently owned, South East Asia inbound tour operator. We have been organising small and large group series and tailor made tours since 1994 – during which time more than 250,000 passengers have travelled with us and enjoyed the ‘Footsteps in Asia' experience.
With a head office in Bangkok (Thailand) and regional offices in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Siem Reap (Cambodia) and Vientiane (Laos) we have South East Asia covered.
Our tours are designed and administered by an experienced, well travelled, local and western management team – all of whom call South East Asia home.
By working with a team of local leaders, we can help you get inside a destination. These leaders speak the language, can read the menus, understand the day to day world around them, offer insights into the history and culture, and are passionate about their homeland.By basing ourselves in Asia and employing local tour leaders, we believe we have a more intimate understanding of cultural do's and don'ts.

Frequently Asked Questions
It is compulsory that you have travel insurance. You may choose a provider of your choice. We require you to be insured before we can allow you to participate in our tours. Your policy must cover medical costs in case of hospitalisation, emergency travel and repatriation. If you are going on one of our activity holidays, make sure your insurance covers you for this activity. Once you have paid your deposit or full payment, certain fees will apply if you cancel your holiday. Insurance should therefore be organised at the time of booking to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances that would require you to cancel before travelling. You will need two copies of your policy - the Tour Leader and our Ground Operator will keep one copy each in the unlikely event of an emergency. What is a single supplement?
A single supplement is a charge paid by a solo traveler to compensate for the fact there is only one person in a room. If you dont want to pay the single supplement, we will match you with a partner in a twin share room. Over 25% of our travellers are travelling solo so it's not an issue.Do I need malaria tablets?
The risk of malaria transmission in South East Asia now is so low that antimalarial medications can be more trouble than protection. There are of course plenty of mosquitoes, and dengue fever transmission has become an increasing problem. Use of day-time repellents, wearing long sleeves and pants, and being generally aware of insects are important protective measures. Can I just do part of a tour?
For the most part - yes if you like. You will need to email or call us to discuss the specifics first though. What immunisations do I need?
Vaccines and immunisations vary from country to country and may even be specific to activities.
We recommend you visit your local doctor and ask a medical professional.
